Broken Pins on logic board

What does the cable shown in the image here do?

http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/kMEET...

The pins that it connects to have broken off from the logic board so wondering if a skilled solderer would be able to fix it or if i would need to order a new logic board?

Thanks.

Paul Bruckshaw, that is your battery connector. The connector is soldered onto the logic board and not really easy to replace. Unless of course you do know how to solder SMD onto the logic board. Somebody that is used to soldering small SMD components could easily fix it up for you. You might want to try a local TV-Electronic repair shop. Here is a decent video showing you the repair. The part is available at places like this. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thank you for confirming this, i found out after i tried charging it that it was doing nothing. I will be giving this job to a decent solderer as I am terrible at it.
