The phone touch screen dosn't respond but the display work perfectly. I replaced the display but the same issue is persisting. who ever had the phone before me had done something because a screw is missing. ive also tried to made sure the touch screen cable was connected correctly.

There is a good chance the device suffered water damage. I would clean the digitizer connector on the logic board with rubbing alcohol let it dry completely and try again.

are you positive you didnt tear the ribbon cable when sliding it threw the slot in the metal frame
