@grykbx7xmuhqfpy not sure which lens cap you are referring to, but gasoline will most likely melt and destroy your lens cap. HDPE plastics are pretty much the only ones safe to use with gasoline. Do NOT use gasoline for your lens cap!

Our confusion comes from your use of the term "gasoline glue". Are you referring to a type of adhesive used to seal leaking gas tanks? If so, that probably wouldn't be my first choice unless you don't have any other glue available.
We're talking about a pair of sunglasses, right? What exactly do you mean by "lens cap"? Are you talking about the frame that holds the lens in place? How is it broken; did it come apart or is the plastic snapped? A picture might help if you can add one to your question; this guide will help.
