Hello, my name is Neto.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300 that I've had for quite some time; I bought it used. After a few months of use, it wouldn't turn on anymore. I noticed that the contact spring on one of the battery slots was oxidized, and when I least expected it, it broke. I want to know if there's any way I can fix it myself, and I would really appreciate any help!

Depending on how much you're willing to spend, replace the battery chamber in the camera.

Search online for Sony A-1990-209-A to find suppliers that suit you best. (example only)

Here's the ifixit Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300 repair guide which will help with the disassembly. Scroll down the page in the guide to find the Sony service manual for the camera as well in case you run into any problems.

If you are comfortable soldering, you can take the camera apart. The battery contacts will almost certainly be a generic part you can find easily online, but the electrical connection will almost certainly be soldered. Good Luck!
