Although this is a good question that many people have, we can't do much with just the fact that the laptop won't start. When you try to turn on the laptop, do you hear a fan or see any lights on or blinking, or anything like that? It may be that because the model is already 20 years old, components such as RAM modules have been removed or damaged. Have you taken a look inside the laptop yourself?
