Does anybody know for sure? In the video below it looked like ram was integrated.

MacBook Pro with Retina display uses one of the fastest memory technologies available today — 1600MHz, Double Data Rate (DDR3L), synchronous dynamic random-access memory (SDRAM) — ensuring that the Intel Core i7 processor is constantly fed with data without wasting clock cycles. From Apple

MacRumors seems to think it's integrated: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.p...

But OWC will sell you the upgrade sticks, but just on the non-retinal machine, I would trust OWC: http://blog.macsales.com/14033-owc-ddr3l...

Here's what they say on the Retinal - soldered in: "Yeah… that kind of limits our upgrade options. As of this minute (about 3:45 CDT, 6/12/12), no, there aren’t any upgrades available for the MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display. That said, though, we’re working on it. The Retina MBP’s SSD, though shorter and wider, looks to have the same connection as the SSD inside the 2012 MacBook Air. Whether we’ll come up with a special Aura Express for each model, or whether we develop a “unified” SSD we have yet to determine, but our Development team is on it like cat hair on dress pants."

1 Opmerking:

The MacBook Pro with Retina display has soldiered in ram, which makes it very hard to replace or upgrade. However, the MacBook Pro non-Retina has normal, upgradeable ram.
