Rebooting and making noises.

The deive will not power up with only the battery in, and when charger connected starts to power up immediately. Both the top and bottom screens start to come on and then there is a sharp cracking sound and it tries to power up again.

does anyone have any infromation on this? any direct fix or does anyone have the same problem?
