it worked for a while then i had the black screen again so did the factory reset again it worked for a while then would take ages to load the home screen but had no pictures and couldn't select anything or get the settings up whats the cause of this and how can i fix it

I would replace the HDD and see how that goes. It does sound like you are having issues with the harddisk.

After this, you do need to put the software on first, before you replace it.

i agree with koppie.
you can also remove the hdd and plug it into your pc using a hdd reader, wipe it completely and reinstall the ous file, that's a whole process tho and can be finicky. I would just get a new hd (solid-state for quicker loading times) and replace the existing drive. You will most likely need a pc and a hdd reader with a usb3.0 connection to properly format the new drive and a usb3.0 thumbdrive/flash drive (also properly formatted) to install the OUS firmware
