My EMI shield is stuck to the logic board.

The metal EMI shield appears to be deliberately adhered to the logic board. How would I go about separating this and how would I remove the excess adhesive from the logic board. I have some pictures below. Please help ASAP as I am on a timeline. Pictures are in the link below

Yes, there is adhesive that holds it there. If you can, carefully and slowly lift the metal shield while holding the logic board down on the small piece that you can see on the side by the volume buttons. Be very careful to gently but firmly lift it. You will hear that adhesive start to give as you slowly separate them more and more. Be careful as you can easily tear the power button/volume button flex cable.

If that doesn't work, try using a heat gun to warm the plate slightly. It will help loosen the adhesive.

Thank you very much. Is there any way to remove the excess adhesive from the logic board, or should I just leave it there?
