The back boot gate door will open but closes immediately
My lifegate opens but closes immediately. It won’t stay up and open. How can I fix this

What is the year of the vehicle?
Change the liftgate to manual operation and then manually open the liftgate and check if it stays open.
If it doesn't stay open, it could be the struts that hold it up are faulty and need to be replaced..
Here's the procedure from the 2012 owner manual that details how to change from powered opening to manual operation.
