Possible Ylod, is a hard drive copy possible?

It is not possible to copy/clone your HDD since your HDD wont be read by either Linux, Mac, or Windows. The HDD is in a format which is specific to the PS3, its not FAT32 so it can't be read by any PC. The data recovery or HDD utilities might detect the HDD,however you won't be able to view or recover any data. I am sure you also know that the HDD is specific to the PS3 which formatted it, so if you were to put it in a different PS3, it would automatically format it. If you have a working PS3 you can always just update the new console by connecting a ethernet cable to the new console and the other end to the old console then go to system settings on the new PS3 and there's a option Data transfer utility press on that and it should say you will use this feature. To transfer (copy or move) data that is saved on one PS3 system to the other PS3 system carefully read the following information and then select (ok) it will take you step by step from here.
