Kindle Voyage charge port replacement

All the kindles seem to have custom charge ports but I'm not able to find a replacement for the Voyage.

Does anyone know if this exists somewhere as a more generic part? Or know of a repair shop that can successfully replace it - online or Chicago, IL? The ones I've called say they wouldn't be able to locate the part.

I'm considering buying a second Voyage for parts and having the ports swapped (this is about data recovery)

What is the model number of the tablet?

Usually this can be found at the bottom of the back cover.

There's no model number on the back, the Voyages don't seem to have that. It's also not listed in Settings, just the serial number is.

The SN starts with B013 but I've never been able to find a model number associated with the Voyage the way other Kindles have

According to this article it's a Kindle Voyage WiFi KV B013, 9013

I can't find any replacement USB connectors for it but here's a video that shows how to open it. I know it's only to replace the battery but it is still useful to view so that you can gain access to see what the USB connector looks like.

The big difference in USB connectors is the location and number of mounting lugs attached to the port's metal case, which are used to attach it to the motherboard. Sometimes there are 4 lugs and others have only 2 and their exact location on each side can vary as well.

The pinout spacing is standard for all of the different types of USB connectors (depending on type of course e.g. type USB2.0A, micro USB2.0 etc) so you only have to find that one that matches the lugs and type.

If you can access the Settings can't you transfer data using WiFi or is the battery failing due to not being able to be charged?
