Two different iPad 2 wifi models?

I took apart a white iPad 2 wifi for digitizer replacement today and after removing the LCD, somehow the insides felt different than usual... the daughterboard wasn't where it was supposed to be - it was located at the top and the daughterboard connector cable was missing!

I've never seen an iPad 2 wifi with the daughterboard at the top - is this a new model?

Also, the daughterboard connector cable has been replaced by another cable put where the 3G module "would" be.

Is it new or has it been around for ages?

Update:

As per the accepted answer below:

I think it's iPad 2, 4,Re-released Wi-Fi only model. it has a 32nm A5 chip and some redesigned parts

The parts are also widely available now (I assume iFixit has them and I sell them in my own store as well)

Hi Anders,

I discovered the same issue here. It looks like the newest iPad 2 models have some iPad 3 parts in them. I'm looking for this part:

iPad 2 WIFI power/mute/volume flex

I cannot find it anywhere. It should be a volume/mute/power flex cable for an iPad 2, but isn't the same as the normal ones.

Any idea were I can get these?
