Touchscreen not responding

I recently had the screen replaced on my phone after it shattered. I dropped it again and the screen came off in one piece. I put it back on and the home button is responding but the touch screen is not. Is it possible to fix on my own?

Try removing the display and check if there is Amy damage on the connector or cable attaching it to the phone.

sarah langley, sure you can . Here is the guide iPhone 3G Front Panel Assembly Replacement and take a look at it. Verify that all cables are still attached and in good working order. If those are okay, I would suggest to change the front panel. I personally prefer the whole assembly, since it does work easier and quicker. hope this helps, good luck. Hope this helps, good luck.

About your last post, for some reason I cannot post comments, it doesn't allow me to. I had this problem after I tried fixing the home button. I actually tried doing everything here, and it turned out that the connector pad was broken. Had to take it to Apple store to be re-soldered.

I did this a couple of times. I opened up the phone, closed it, and after 3 times of repeating this, the screen was half responsive, and half was not. I opened it up again, and it turned out that connector 2 was slightly loose, thanks for the answers.
