Can you tell what kind of liquid is on the floorboard? Is it water and your weather has been rainy lately, or is it antifreeze? If you soak some up with a white paper towel you may be able to see if the liquid is colored; if so, look at your coolant overflow bottle under the hood and see if it matches. If that's the case you may have a leaking heater hose or heater core, but it's hard to say without knowing what the liquid is, and you're the only one who can tell us that. Is there any smell to it? Antifreeze may have a sickly sweet smell.
