Strange behaviour of colors after lcd and digitizer replacement

Hello all!

I have problem with colors on my iPhone 3G 8GB black. Week ago i decided to replace digitizer on this phone, because it was in very bad condition. So i read few tutorials and saw some videos on youtube how to do it.

I ordered new digitizer from ebay with the tools. During the process i made a mistake and i damaged the lcd :-( because i am noob. So i went to the ebay and ordered a new lcd. When i got the LCD i finished the process without a problem. The lcd and colors was ok, everything was fine. But, after few days the display started to behave strange. I dont know how to describe it, but there is no colors, just white - but i can still recognize the icons, i can make calls, and write sms, but its very annoying. I tried reset (home button + power button for 10s) didnt help. I also tried another lcd - > same colors, same problem.

Today morning when i wake up and look at the phone, the colors was almost good, but after i slide the unlock bar, the colors came back.

So i think its motherboard problem? Or what can i do now?

Roman, that looks like a bad LCD to me. Check by replacing your new screen with the old one, since it was just the digitizer that did not work.

I am sorry, I was not aware of that, I did not see it in your original question. In that case you already answered your own question. If it is not the LCD, and not the connection, since you obviously already checked that as well, it would check the LM2512AA display interface IC. Hope this helps, good luck.
