Ballbearings fell out - how to repair?

Hi folks,

I have a a Vintage (2nd hand) Sunbeam Mixmaster (1950's A10 model) stand mixer. It's been working fine (motor and electrical) until recently when the ball bearings (I suspect) at the bottom of the base just decided to fall out. The rest works just fine (I.e motor and mixer seems to be working just fine).

Any clue how to fix this? I'm relatively handy, but ball bearings are just a mystery to me. I can't seem to find parts manuals for this either, given how old it is, and even if I did, I'd likely need some help with installation/repair.

I'd rather download it from Dave's Repair website. I still think I'm going to need a bit of help, even if I have it.

@suchiththa It might not be a perfect solution but measuring the outside of the bearing may give you an idea of what bearing would fit, as I can't imagine that they used a custom bearing. If you get the correct size it should just seat back in into the same hole the old one was in.

@gamerrob I think my concern is that I'm missing something and that it isn't just a single part that's missing. I could take it to a hardware store and ask them if they have a ball-bearing/part that would do the trick, I suppose, I just don't know what I don't know, you know?
