head lamp not working and bulb is fine

my left head lamp is not working and bulb is good. any thing common in this area?

Did you check if voltage is being applied to the appropriate bulb connection when the headlamp is turned on?

If so, check that there's a good earth connection to the bulb.

If you don't have a DMM (digital multimeter) to check for voltage or an earth, run a temporary cable between an earth point (-ve pole of battery) and the earth connection on the bulb and check. At least this will eliminate the possibility of a faulty earth connection
