Flashing light code - Kenwood kvl80 chef xl Stand Mixer

Hi

I have a Kenwood kvl80 chef xl Stand Mixer.

This mixer was in storage for a while and not used a lot. When we started using it again, it would start but when you stop to add to the mix it won’t start again. When you leave it overnight it does the same, start but stop working after you stop it to add to the mix.

Now it does not want to start at all. When you start it the light flashes x9 times very fast then pause and then flashes x3 times slow ( This code/sequence of and the x9 and x3 flashes just keep on repeating till you switch it off.)

I just want to know what could be wrong and what does this code ( flashes) means?

Regards

JJ

If it's any help, I've seen this flashing pattern while tinkering with the mixer's main board. The SENSOR header is connected to the motor through 4 pins. The inner pins of this header are connected to a thermal element inside the motor so in case of overheating the controller would know to stop. When there is no signal coming from this element, the LED starts flashing as you described.
