I had to seriously unplug it it's not reacting to touch the button is powering its self on and off we wipped down the button area with a disinfected cloth it and its still being weird.

This is common with Xbox One Originals!
And it’s 9 of the 10 times, the front board it’s flex cable in this case.
Replacing this should fix it! The problem is most of the time in the cable and thus you can replace the sensor cable OR replace the plastic front panel with the cable already in it.
I recommend to buy the plastic front panel with the sensor ribbon cable already in it. This is easier for the repair and saves a lot of headache.

How hard is it to replace the cable. I hate to replace the entire panel cause it's a halo 4 addition

Thank you Koppie! Turns out when we took it apart to look. A sweet little 2 year old fed the xbox a Hostest powdered raspberry donut. Once we got that cleaned out. It worked perfectly fine but. We would not have found it without your help
