Gamecube stuck on the bootup logo

I've recently bought a Gamecube that did not have a spinning disc drive in hopes of fixing it, at first it booted up and told me to set the calendar which I did.

It seemed to bootup and run normally except the fact that of course the disc drive does not work properly, the second time around it did the bootup animation and that was it. It would just be stuck on the Gamecube bootup logo and not direct me to the menu.

Any solutions or reasons why this happens?

Be sure to check the battery if it still can deliver 3v power which is located at the front panel (where the controller ports are).

If this one is empty, then you do need to replace it and see if that solved the issue.

For the DOL-001 you do need to solder the battery out and solder a new one in. For the DOL-101 you can just replace the cell battery by removing the old one from the bracket and put a new one in.
