At times, the graphics on my screen become fuzzy and pretty much unrecognizable. Text doesn't seem affected as much. I can remedy this by moving the screen back and forth a bit. It may only happen every few days, or sometimes after transporting it. Could it be pressure on the inverter board or cable?

Hi! The inverter and inverter cable only affect the backlight, so if the image itself becomes distorted, I would suspect that the video cable is being crimped. Before trying to repair it, an important test is to connect your machine to an external monitor. If the external display looks fine while the image on the screen looks distorted, then you know the logic board and GPU are not the source of the problem, and that the problem has to do with the screen or the cabling. If the external display is distorted as well, then you likely have a logic board or GPU issue.
