Ownership or Sharing&Permissions info. wont go back to factory Default
It used to be called "Ownership & Permissions" in Tiger. It's changed names as new OS X versions came out. In Snow Leopard, it's called My "Sharing & Permissions" (on mine) under the "Get Info." on each Folder starting at my HD,mounted on Desktop, Mac HD and everything under it, including "Home Folder", Applications, Desktop, etc., will not return to the Factory Defaults. I've tried every type of reinstall. I know it should NOT say I am the Owner, with Read & Write, I am the Group w/"Read & Write" and All Others, "No Access" or "write only(drop Box)" I know the "System" owns the OS, but can't find it anywhere! The last time I looked, after a Fresh Install, total Nuke & Pave, Snow Leopard had downloaded Tiger OS X files overnight into .plist files in Library/Preference/com.apple.systemconfig.plist and com.apple.InternetConfig.plist, com.apple.SystemUpdates.plist. ! That's Not supposed to happen. I wont even boot it up to look before I have a fix or not.
I had already upgraded to Lion before I noticed I was the only person with RW and no access to all others on most files,Folders,Drives. I had taken it apart at 1 time, lost a screw on lower case body, or inside battery area. Might have replaced wrong screws in wrong holes, shorting something and one outside remains empty, too many possible problems. Need full factory defaults back and cannot resolve. I've sent it to Apple for RAM upgrade. Sent it to a different Apple dealer, None are able to fix it. I know a Unix command can do it, or is a paperweight?
Is dit een goede vraag?

I do not understand your Question. Do you wish sharing to be ''enabled or disabled"?

I just got this mail 5 minutes ago.....sorry,
I generally don't need sharing, never used it. I am just trying to find the correct Default Permissions to System, admin, staff, owner-dutch(me), everyone. I say Sharing & Permissions only because thats what they're labeled as under any Folder / Get info. I don't share anything. The 2 different OS X systems I have aren't smart enough,Lol. My early '08 intel MacBook Snow Leopard 10.5.6 is synching files from my PowerMac6,3 G4 PPC Tiger 10.4.11. There could be many causes, but I need to correct 1 area at a time.
Thank You for the help.
