LCD loose connection - flickers on/off when changing lid position
Hello and thanks to all contributors for this very nice forum!
I have this problem with my older MBP (Model 1211):
My display has started flickering whenever I change the position of the lid. By flickering I mean picture's "falling out", as if there was a loose connection. No color related problems or lines across the screen. Just this flickering problem that is becoming more and more pronounced, so to speak. At the beginning the problem cropped up only when drawing the lid towards the keyboard from an angle about 90 degrees. Now the problem is showing when I push the lid forward from the same 90 degrees position.
What is your opinion? Is it a display cable gone bad?
Oh, and I have checked both the inverter and display cable connections to the logic board, and see no problems here. But thats the only internal thing I've checked. There's no problem using an external display.
What do you suggest I do next?
In advance - thanks you.
Edit: Here's a little movie clip showing the problem in action: http://kortlink.dk/as7w
Is dit een goede vraag?

Korf, did you ever get this fixed? Thanks.

@ineffable27: Yes I did. Bought a cable off ebay which solved the problem. The procedure was a little bit too thrilling for my liking, but absolutely manageable. Are you having same problems?

Yes I have the same model, with the same issue. Which exact part is needed, by the way? Inverter cable or inverter board? And how difficult is the repair process? iFixit doesn't seem to have the tutorial for this process.
