3GS backlight our after screen repair

I replaced an LCD screen in a 3gs and and the backlight isnt coming on.

The lcd is brand new and I turned the phone off when I replaced the screen to prevent a short.

The phone hasnt been updated in awhile so could a restor fix this?

I tried resetting the phone setting but nothing changed.

The only other thing I can think of is the coil shorted but the phone was off when I worked on it and there is no water damage.

Have you tried a different LCD? It just could be that the one you received is bad. Sounds like you took all the precautions during the fix, so I don't see any other issues besides a bad part.

What happened to the original LCD? If it was showing backlight before, then a new LCD should as well.
