Why is the exposure meter not working?

I'm at a loss. My Pentax K100d DSLR, which has been through ^*@% and back, took a fall off of chair seat. It landed on the lens (hard enough to bend the old 50mm lens on it out of round) and everything seems to work but the camera meters horribly wrong. It thinks everything is way, way to bright and won't recommend a shutter speed below 1/2500 and usually the max 1/4000. I've reset the camera but that didn't seem to make much of a difference. It still autofocuses (with my one autofocus lens) but I'm at a loss of what else to do.

I have a K-50 with a similar issue. I have tried countless times to get Pentax/Ricoh to repair the camera, even when it was still under warranty, but they refused and stopped answering emails. Many other people have had the same experience. I gave up and switched to Nikon, like I should have done long ago. Pentax has become a very poor company. Good luck.
