What is the name of the component inside of power supply next to coil?

Looks like a light bulb in the fat version and a diode/resister in the slim. V101 is the marking on the board. I tried Google but to no avail. I'm thinking it's a fuse. But there aren't any numbers on the component to compare.

Hi @epic60054,

Post an image of the component in your question, so that others can see what you're asking about.

Here's how on ifixit Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

V can sometimes mean a varister i.e. MOV but it depends on what designation the maker has decided to use

These are pics from the slim

@epic60054 Some context of where on the board exactly this came off of would help. The V101 looks more like a V1.01 version number on the board to me rather than a part identifier, but I also could be wrong. Can you post a picture that's a bit more zoomed out? Looking at some power supplies and not seeing this spot.

V is also an uncommon component abbreviation. And nothing it's springing to mind looks like this.

First is board I'm working on second is board out of fat ps3. The square is a coil assembly I removed to get the pic. Someone else broke the little glass component that looked like a light bulb.

It's a symbol for voltage regulator tube. You can share the specific model of the console and the PSU to see if anyone has schematics.

Ty so much I have changed resistors, veristors and three diodes and this is the last part I can't measure anything through. Whether it be ohm or resistance.

Last picture is for future reference for anyone else looking for that stupid looking circuit legend and can't find it. Thanks again for everyone's help. Also a shout out to TronicsFix. If it wasn't for his videos I would have never known about y'all. Thanks again.

@tomchai Perfect, Was searching for what the symbol meant, but it’s hard to Google a symbol :D This makes perfect sense. Not sure how every reference I looked at failed to have this.

I bet I searched a 100 different legends and the only thing I found was a receptacle that was even close. Thanks again everyone. (ifixit rules!!!!!!!)
