Can I use Surgical Spirit B.P to clean the circuit board?

I have a surgical spirit that has the following ingredients

Industrial Methylated Spirits (95% Ethanol and Methanol, castor oil, diethyl phthalate, Methyl Salicylate)

is this safe to use cleaning my Macbook and helping to remove the battery?

I can’t say weither it’s safe or not but from what the ingredients says I would probably stay away from it as it has oil in it and that may cause it to be a pain to get the adhesive to stick to the case when you put a new battery in

I can recommend 99% isopropyl alcohol though,that is know for being Amazing with electronic devices and is a wonderful cleaner

Thanks, I was finding it near impossible to get even the smallest bottle of 99% IPA without extortionate shipping fees but luckily after a renewed google search i found a local FX store that has some. cheers
