Hi @bellmiddleton,
What is the model number of the refrigerator?
Is the freezer compartment maintaining the correct temperature?
Is the compressor motor running continually trying to drive down the temperature in the refrigerator compartment?
Check if the refrigerator compartment door seals are OK. Place a piece of paper between the door and the door jamb. With the door closed normally, try to pull it out. It will come with a bit of an effort but not that easily and it should definitely not fall out by itself. Try this at various places around the refrigerator door, top, bottom and both sides.
Also check if the refrigerator door is aligned correctly i.e. straight and parallel to the cabinet in case there's a problem with the door hinges preventing it from sealing correctly
FYI normal refrigerator compartment temps should be in the range 36°F - 39°F as you don't want to actually freeze the food. Freezing starts to occur at 32°F. Refrigerator freezer compartments should be between 0°F and 4°F
