Help! PS3 won’t display after update.

Ok, so I haven’t played my ps3 in years, so I was pleasantly surprised when it came on no problem. I played a game no problem as well, though when the game tried to save it said something about the hdd, so I thought maybe I need to update it (mind you I’m not as tech savvy as I’d like to believe) & so I did. So it was updating & all of a sudden the screen went black & stayed like that. So I restarted it. Now it won’t display at all, as if it’s not even connecting, not even the black screen. The system still comes on & stays on but it won’t work for any tv or any hdmi cords. I have other systems & they connect so it’s not my cords so idk what I did. No ylod, doesn’t turn off by itself, it just doesn’t display. Guys did I break my console?
