When I turn on my my Samsung TV sometimes the screen is all distorted and then it turns off and turns back on again and everything is fine. I have a feeling this is the early stages of something going bad but what is going bad?
BTW the actual model number is LN40A630M1F

@briank51290 this "like green static on the screen and sometimes it even screechs " sounds like a main board issue. Make sure you have a good HDMI cable (if that is what you are using) For now I would not replace anything until it totally goes on the fritz. Reason for that is, that I would hate for you to spend money on a board that may not be needed.
You could maybe try a reset. Remove everything that is plugged into your TV. Then unplug the TV. Hold the power button down for about one minute. then reconnect your video input. Keep it to a minimum and see if that made a difference. Also, if you use a cable box or sat box, you may need to reset those as well.

My tv goes fuzzy and turns on and off about 4/5 times when first turned on then it stops. I've lived with it for a while but only because I've never found a video or advice on how to fix it.
When you say the power button do you mean on the tv or remote. Also this tv did have the board changed years ago and it's never been right since. So I think they did something wrong when changing the board.
@stevenmccallum what exact model is this and which board has been changed?

@briank51290 distorted how? The good thing here is that the firmware of your TV seems to recognize the error and then reset itself. Could be an issue with the firmware but it could also be a deeper issue with things like the main board or another board.

@oldturkey03 typically there's like green static on the screen and sometimes it even screechs but that's rare. last time i turned on the tv the screen Flickered like a light blue and then turned off. every time it turns back on it's always back to normal
