Samsung Electric Range has an intermittent display but works OK

Model: NE59J7630SS, SN: DCJA03562 - purchased in January 2018. After ~4.5 years in service segments on the display are flickering but range works OK. Assuming control PC Board failed. Attached are the pictures of the PS BD and QR-code of it. Please confirm.

Hi Andrew S,

Attached is the picture of the Control PC BD (front panel).

Visual inspection did not indicate any physical or heat damage to the BD. Possible bad connection or component failure could be the reason. I would say it's not a bad idea of replacing the PC BD with another one (new or refurbished). Please advise.

Could either be the LED display board (part #DE07-00129A) or the control board (# DE41-00455C ;DE92-03761B N1)

Maybe check that the LED display cable connection to the control board is secure.

If all the LEDs are flickering it sounds like it could be a power problem so check for any obvious component damage on the control board i.e. heat stressed components or blown/leaking capacitors.

Not sure if I'm interpreting it correctly but according to the user manual (see p.48) it seems as though there may be a 5 year warranty on the oven if you are in Canada.

It states:

One (1) Year Parts and Labor, One (1) Year Parts Warranty For Glass Cooktop and Radiant Heater During this limited additional four-year warranty, you will responsible for any labor or in-home service.

I'm just going on the wording of "....additional 4 year warranty...." in the statement which is not written in the warranty provisions for the USA

If Canada is your location it may be worth verifying the length of the warranty with Samsung.

Search online using the part number only, to find suppliers of the boards

Bad connection or electrical component failure could be the reason.

I'm in US (Cleveland, OH). Samsung Repair Service (which I contacted to) "played the games" sending me to the different Repair Centers in OH and IN.

Repair people didn't help. They even didn't bother to pay a service visit. All they did just provided empty promises (shame). I stopped at Snow Brothers (where range was purchased) and they promised to help. In the meantime I asked you for help.

A few years ago you helped me to fix my non-functional TV (Samsung, btw).

It sounds like Samsung is not a reliable and reputable brand.
