What is this mystery piece?

I was in the process of reinstalling my haptic engine after I swapped the battery in my iphone SE2020. there is this tiny metal bracket that is now loose that I didn't see in the directions. does anyone know what it is and where it goes?

this is awesome. by any chance do you have the URL's for other phone models?

right now i'd love the 7/7+, 8/8+ and SE (2nd gen). but wouldn't mind the entire library. :)

@beekerc Sadly Apple seems unlikely to go through the back catalog of devices at this point. The 12 series is the oldest option that Apple has released service manuals for as part of their self repair service. Otherwise, talk to your local politicians about getting Right for Repair laws passed.

Even the legislation that just passed in New York State makes no provisions for older devices (a HUGE bummer).

The rest of the available manuals can be found at https://support.apple.com/en_US/manuals/...

I am not 100% sure but it might be this part of the dock.
It sits on top of the left side of the TicTacTapTic engine.

That’s where I ended up putting it and it seemed to fit correctly. Thanks.
