Retail mode removed but still no factory reset option.

Hi All,

Recently purchased an s22 ultra on retail mode. Found the password from a forum user on here. Retail mode removed but still no option to factory reset it via settings or bootloader menu. In bootloader menu no option to wipe device at all.

Alot of people on this forum say demo phones have no antenna etc. This unit has 2 imeis and network calls/mobile data etc work fine. I'm also unable to install Google play on it. Downloaded play store apk separately and it won't install.

I can download some apks such as FB etc but banking apps, and credit card apps will be more trickier.

Any ideas on how to factory reset it? I want to use it as my main phone with Google play.

I'd download the latest firmware for your phone and use Odin to flash the firmware to your phone. It sounds like its a bare bones install on it.

I gave it to a local phone shop and he tried with zyx3 (app) and odin and was unable to flash it. I'm scared to do it myself as I don't want to brick it.

The sample phones come with a demo firmware so you must go to your pc and look for the firmware of your samsung model and download Odin so you can reinstall the system on the phone. This would be a good option if your bootloader is free, otherwise the fix would be a bit more complicated.
