How do you know it is turning on? Any lights? If so which ones? Do any of them blink? If so count the blinks and report.

Only the power light is turning on like it usually does when i turn it on

What we need to help you is the full model number of the Acer Aspire 3 A315 such as A315-56. There are variations in the laptop models.
Then we can try a number of procedures such as clearing the CMOS, etc.
