try connecting it to the "World Wide Web" using Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to the Ethernet port on Ur laptop I like fiber optic cable but to each there own if that doesn't work then see if Ur running in administrator mode if not, we can see what's wrong with it me and over 80 thousand's of us is bound to help just not a lot of info to go off of

How does the laptop connect to the internet, Ethernet cable or WiFi?
Is there an icon on the Taskbar showing that the internet is connected?
What OS is installed in the laptop, Win7, Win 8.1, Win 10 etc?
