I fixed my battery, now after software update it doesn't charge again?

I have an A51 that was not charging anymore. So after a ridiculous conversation with Samsung (who voided my warranty because the phone was slightly bent...) I got !#^&@@ and purchased a new battery, a new flex cable and a new charging unit and did the fix myself. I installed all of the above and it was all working fine... until I updated my Android OS. Now if I plug the charger again I have the old problem, i.e. it doesn't charge anymore. I have tried already the soft reboot.

Is it possible that the software update somehow "created" the problem? Is it something somewhat known? Or is it just a very unfortunate peculiar coincidence? Any suggestions, or just more information about the issue would be much appreciated.
