how do i do this and whats the best card to use as a replacement/swap

You can’t do this. The motherboard isn’t designed for it.
The laptop has a DC-In jack that plugs directly into the motherboard where it then connects to the various power mosfets, controlled by the IO chipset for power distribution within the motherboard.
To gain the advantages of a USB-C connector requires that 24 wires be connected from the USB port to the USB-C controller on the motherboard, which the laptop hasn’t got.
Trying to connect a USB-C system to the motherboard would require major modifications to the motherboard and is not something that can simply be plugged in
