iPhone XR LCD screen not working but tactile yes after replacement

Hi everyone

I recently had to change the screen of an iphone XR very damaged, and after the screen replacement the display doesn't work but the phone turns on, it vibrates and sounds, and more, the tactile works (I can hear the keys sound when I touch the screen).

I can't figure out what is the problem. I've spent many hours looking for informations about that on internet but nothing… I never faced such a problem while repairing iphones.

I come here with the hope someone could help.

Sounds like you’ve got a defective screen. What happens when you put the old on on? Does it illuminate and show what’s on the screen?

Hey, thanks for your reply, but sadly I've tried this and the old screen doesn't show anything nor react to tactile inputs. It is so ruined that I don't think it can be useful to prove the new one is defective...

@vladson did you disconnect the battery while doing the repair?

Yes I did. Moreover I changed the battery, as a habit when changing a piece on iphones
