Why do I get a white light on dock?

Check Error Codes:

• First, you might want to look up online what the white light on the dock means(like what kind of error or what can cause it) and look for solutions based on that but if you can’t find anything or that doesn’t work, try the options listed below in the order top to bottom.

Dirty Ports:

• One problem might be that the dock or the ports could be dirty, so you could try to clean the cables and the dock(and the ports on the dock) with some compressed air and cleaning wipes but make sure that all of the cables are not plugged into anything when doing this and make sure the dock is unplugged from the wall.

Dislodged/dirty Cables:

• After a while, the cables may come loose from the ports on the dock and not plug in properly so you might need to re-seat the cables(unplug them and plug them back in) and see if that works, you need to make sure that the cables are in fully

Faulty/Damaged Cables:

• You might have damaged or faulty cables and they might need replacing, For the HDMI cable it needs to be able to output 1080p, for the USB Type C AC Adapter get one from Nintendo to be safe.

Faulty/Damaged Dock:

• The dock itself could be damaged or faulty and you might need to get a new one, to get a new one just go to Nintendo.com or to a store but only get the ones from Nintendo since some 3rd party ones could damage the Switch or the things you have plugged into it.
