Flex ribbon totally unknown

I recently found my old Apple Watch, I want to repair it but I see something that are strange for me, a flex that doesn’t connect to “anything” anyone knows for what is this?

So, can I replace the screen and the Apple Watch will works fine? Because right now I just want to use it again, i dont mind not having the force touch right now, but, it will works if i dont have it?

Sorry you need the ForceTouch sensor for the watch to work properly.
