A very specific question.
I have an iMac 2019,1 (Intel i5-9600K @ 3.70 GHz) and I am contemplating upgrading the CPU to a i9-9900KF without discreet graphics …
Is this specific CPU going to be supported? Anyone have achieved this? Any issues?

I’m a bit confused on your question as the difference between the i9-9900F and the i9-9900KF is the lack of the Intels UHD Graphics 630 integrated graphics engine. Basically, the F part is a binned chip with the GPU logic disabled.
The discreet GPU is still present as its a separate chip on the logic board, either a AMD Radeon Pro 575X or AMD Radeon Pro 580X graphics processor.
Apple still leverages the integrated graphics when running certain functions so it’s wise to use what they used. Besides the last time I looked the pricing was like $50 difference! Why chance it?

It must be some form of miscommunication, as I read the KF is faster than the K and the retailers I am looking at had the KF with integrated graphics (octagonal box?). If there is no difference other than the GPU in terms of performance I will stick with the K-only version
@george73 - Click on the Blue links in my answer for the spec sheets of both CPU's.
As you can see the CPU clocking is the same a max of 5.00 GHz. In a fist fight it would be a draw ;-}

@george73 - Benchmarks don't look at the CPU alone. Don't forget these tests also get influenced by the RAM and storage the given system has.
