HP 17-by2000na, 17" CML-6L motherboard damaged by lightning

Motherboard: 17” CML-6L

It has: SNAPE92-6050A3107701-MB-A01(A1) 6L written on the board, although a Google search suggests this is reference to the BIOS on it?

Basically I’m “attempting” to repair this, and can clearly see an area underneath the board (top left near the ethernet port) of burnt components that the lightning strike damaged. I can’t test them for resistance, or diode mode or continuation mode as clearly nothing works, and I’m not experience enough to say if they were SMD resisters, SMD capacitors or SMD diodes - especially since they are burnt and discoloured, so don’t know what components to replace these with.

The lightning strike came in through the router, and travelled through the connected ethernet cable.

If someone can help identify these or tell me how to identify these, I would be extremely grateful. The laptop is only a couple of years old, and would be a shame to bin it for the sake of a few components.

I’m not too worried about the ethernet port itself working afterwards (although would be a nice touch) but for now - the main task it to get this laptop powering up.

I’m guessing I’m pleading with an owner of such a machine to check the values for me (without damaging their machine) and passing that information on, or if someone has experience in knowing what these components are by their colour/size or has schematics - I’m not good at reading them, but I could give it a try.

Thank you in advance.

Personally I would just replace his mainboard as the damage could be quite extensive than just the obvious components. But, hey, some one else may have another solution. We'll see.
