Optical Drive and Daughter Board

Good Morning All,

My PlayStation optical drive is no longer reading discs. I recently re-padded and thermal pasted the CPU as it was overheating , I work in the PC hardware sector so this isn’t a big concern for me to do. Since ive done this, the optical drive does not read discs. When i dismantled the PS4 i also removed the daughter board from the optical drive the clean the dust from it. Since placing all the ribbon cables connections back on, the PS4 will allow the disc to be inserted but wont read any disc. I can hear the disc spinning but thats all it does, it also will not eject the disc giving the beeping tone the same as their not being a disc inserted. I`d thought i would replace the daughter board on the optical drive as well as getting a spare optical drive, the information im seeking is that i`ve read conflicting information that the optical drive daughter board is married to the mainboard of the PS4 and if replaced will not read any discs. Can anyone confirm?
