Test Cable How To

How is a test cable for LCD screen & digitizer used specifically? I hadn't heard of these before but bought one since I'm afraid I'm gonna damage or wear out the connectors in my phone due to multiple screen assembly swaps (for several different reasons). I haven't found any instructions, and I want to continue everything I may do further within this site to insure accuracy of info.

hello Ricki,

there's nothing you can do about it. The test cable must be connected to the screen and to the motherboard. You expose yourself to additional damages. You should know (if you professionally repair phones) that most of the "helpful tools" are not needed at all, but only add to your expense on hardware that you don't need. Test cables for screens have aftermarket connectors and sockets, which even more affects the destruction of the original ones - which you have to connect anyway. You can see that it doesn't make sense. It is similar with other "necessary" tools and devices :-) Mats, cables, containers, special electronic readers to check what you can see at first glance and other miracles, like FaceID scanner fo faceID repair :-) ...

Remember that the device will only do as much as you can do yourself. It won't do anything more than you can do yourself. It will only do it faster and for quite a lot of money (devices that you could do without are usually expensive). Nothing more.
