Flash Photo caused Screen to immediately turn black

I took a flash photo yesterday and it the screen immediately turned black. I could not turn on the Iphone after that. I have no clue why this was the reason although I think there was some overheating near the LCD screen connectors afterwards.

Hello Tim,

quite simple answer: someone who repaired your phone previously replaced a small component that costs $ 0.15 for a free wire out of pocket (jumper on the line). He soldered it because...yes, good question why - there are people who show on YT that you can fix iphone 6 / 6s no camera, no image / no backlight or something similar. Nothing but bullshit, you experience the effect yourself. This is a typical symptom of unsecured voltage passing through delicate electronics. It activates during increased power consumption like a flash (flash on selfie camera when flash is a lcd matrix). Its sad it found you. I have been fighting it for a long time, but in the YT era everyone can be an electronics engineer and the patterns are bad.

Find a good repair shop if you can't do it yourself. The costs will drop if you remove the motherboard from the phone yourself. Soldering such an element costs about $ 5-10 for a skilled electronics engineer, if the short circuit does not burn a hole (which sometimes happens when the jumper is of "Chinese" quality).

What exactly is the short circuit? This is really sad to hear :(.

in electronic systems, the current flows with the power and force calculated by engineers. Through every electronic element. The synergy effect of these elements, their goals and possibilities plus programming processors gives us what we know today.

Sometimes it happens that the path is disturbed for various reasons. Electronics is not prepared for such conditions and goes crazy. Sometimes it freezes, sometimes it burns down, sometimes it uses up its battery at high speed. Short to ground - also called short circuit - just like that. Each electron (current) tries to get to the mass at all costs. It'll do whatever it can to get there. Lightning during a thunderstorm is best in that. Normally, in the mass circuits, the spent electrons end their lives.
