Battery capacity drops every time the battery is drained
I just purchased a new battery from iFixit for my mid-2010 15” MacBook Pro. When I installed it Coconut Battery reported it had over 100% capacity at 7180 mAh. I then re-calibrated the battery by draining it and re-charging, then the battery capacity dropped to 95%. I have tried this a few more times, and reset the SMC and NVRAM. Now, after 13 charge cycles it’s at 85% capacity. Is there something else to try or is this just a faulty battery?
