Why can't my Mid 2011 27" iMac boot with LCD attached?
Dear all,
I recently bought a used 27” iMac (mid 2011) with a defective ATI RADEON card.
I replaced this with an SSD, I7 2600 CPU and replaced the GPU with a GTX770M mobile (modification to the cooling block). Putted everything together etc.
When I try to boot it, the right fan tries to spin but immediately stops, like an engine failing to start, but trying.
When it disconnect the LCD cable from the motherboard it does boot. Is there something wrong with my LCD panel or cable? Or is it a CPU or GPU problem (I7 CPU and GTX770M upgrade) Other did it before without a problem.
Hope that you have a clue and have some usefull tips.
With kind regards,
Steven

Let's not use vulgarity even in a three letter acronym.
