Will not boot up after replacing the battery

Using the ifixit steps I replaced the battery and when the battery was fully charged I couldn’t get it to boot up so I could drain the battery. I went through the steps 2 more times to make sure that all connections were solid and still couldn’t get the computer to boot up.

What is the color of the MagSafe charger LED? Amber or Green or not lit.

It was Amber, then green when it fully charged after a few hours

Double check your keyboard cable connection. Is the ribbon cable fully seated and squarely in? Did you properly flip the latch up to open and then close it to compress the cable? In the process of taking out the old battery did you nick the keyboard cable?

If your sure see if you can get the system to startup by using the Power Pads. Quickly short across the two square pads I’ve marked up here

The keyboard cable is secure and trying the power pads did nothing.

Is there a way to include pictures? I thought that might help.

Well this is not good :-{ If the Power Pads didn't start it then we have something deeper. It's not your battery
