hello Peter,
your tablet crashed while watching that movie. Then, a hard reset would be enough (this is done differently, not by cable. What you did is called a restore). Unfortunately, another problem of yours has (it seems) revealed: usb connection. You deepened it yourself by trying to get the tablet working. Now, due to a usb error, you cannot finish booting the new system and the original fault is no longer valid. A tragic coincidence of circumstances. Let's try to restore the bootloader, it will brighten the situation a bit. Start the tablet in DFU mode (insert the lighting plug, press home and power together for 5 seconds than release power - keep holding Home). In this mode, the screen goes black but the computer detects its status. (you will lose all data not saved to iCloud - no turning back). Choose "recovery" if you are using iTunes and wait. Be patient :-)
All service programs, including the one you purchased, read data from the iTunes manager, so they add nothing more than what you already had. Except for one or two (of a different purpose) it's just cheating and taking money for things you already had. You threw your money away - I hope the new soft was cheap.
Now, you should see the loading progress of the new system on the screen. If you can see the Apple logo with a bar below it is ok. It will take a while. If your tablet freezes or starts to reboot at this stage (before the line is completely full), you most likely have a damaged ribbon cable and should be replaced first (when a line will complite, tablet will restart itself many times - it is normall. Be patient, it will take 15-20 minutes). Write what is the effect of this action, if there is a problem - write, I will try to assist on-line.
- regards i Merry Christmass.
